Common Characteristics: Crack willow tree can grow up to a height of 80 feet/24 metres. It prefers damp soils like most willow trees. The Crack Willow tree has long, penetrating roots which binds the soil together. They can withstand a polluted atmosphere and grow well also on the coast. The twigs snap off easily. If you replant the twig it will reform roots and form another tree.
